Let me introduce you to Trish of Swirl Jewels – a fabulous seller on Artfire hailing from Adelaide, South Australia. Right now everything from her store is currently marked down by 20% until June 16th – so take advantage of some gorgeous jewelry at a fabulous price.
Here are some of my favorite items:
While you are at it check out the Glamasaurus for a fabulous Party Theme CiC Saturday! http://blog.glamasaurus.com/?p=1591
Left & Right Creations feature on Pulp & Paisley: http://margiemark.wordpress.com/2010/06/05/cic-saturday-pulp-and-paisley/
I saw this item on one of my favorite blogs the other day Paper*Cake Finds and knew right then that this was my newest ‘crush’ item. In Montreal today it is a balmy 32 degrees with 45% humidity making it feel more like 36 (for my American friends this means: 97). It is a real rarity for May weather, considering last summer we only got about 2 weeks of this type of weather during August. So let’s be clear, I am not complaining in the least, I would rather this gorgeous weather than the wet, rainy, cool temperatures from last year. Bring it on!
I would enjoy it a lot more with this Hammock Chair from RiseNShineFarm on Etsy. Everything would look nicer, feel cooler, especially with a small table next to it for my drink *wink*
Enjoy!
Tara xoxo
I must be feeling a little nostalgic with the release of yet another Robin Hood movie. Since viewing the preview I’ve been thinking of all my childhood favorite movies and of course the Wizard of Oz came to mind. I just loved the movie, the cinematography, the music, the characters and ahhhhh the color when it first appears on the screen! Movie Magic at its best.
Here’s another installment of beautiful, functional and lovely handmade items for mom. I found these gorgeous ideas around the popular indie venues:
Ah, Monday, another week beginning. This is the first day of my week, 5 more days until the next weekend, 5 more days until another month.
I remember growing up and my mother telling me ‘time will go so fast when you get older, take your time growing up.’ Was she ever right! I can’t believe that winter already past and that spring is here and the leaves are quickly budding on all the tress and my magnolia which I planted last fall already has a few flowers about to open. Before I know it I will be practically copying this posting to tell you how I can’t believe it is snowing already. I know what you are thinking right now.. shhhhh Tara… don’t jinx it. So, without further ado, here’s my ode to the budding beauty of Spring.
In the theme of Earth Day/Week – I wanted today’s item to not only be fabulous and something I drooled over, but I liked how it had an Earth Day twist.  What could be a better pick than something plantable? These hanging planters or pods are just so pretty and unique, and when  I saw them last week after the wonderful Danielle (of Etsy) tweeted them I nearly fell off my chair. Since then I have returned to Mudpuppy’s page a few times to gaze upon their beauty and have come to love many of her items.
Here’s a little something I found about house plants via wikipedia:
“Indoor plants reduce components of indoor air pollution, particularly volatile organic compounds (VOC) such as benzene, toluene, and xylene. The compounds are removed primarily by soil microorganisms. Plants can also remove CO2, which is correlated with lower work performance, from indoor areas.[1] The effect has been investigated by NASA for use in spacecrafts.[2] Plants also appear to reduce airborne microbes and increase humidity.[3]“
Have your cake & eat it too – have a slice of beauty within your room and while it is busy looking pretty it is cleaning up your airspace.
Here are a couple of other items from the shop:
